The design inspiration for the Love Story of City came from the idea of integrating outdoor landscapes with the interior space arrangement. The stylish window frames in the public area of the building serve as a theme of the space, enticing as the enframed scenery. These window frames, reflecting the direct sunlight, effectively maintain the indoor space at a comfortable temperature.

According to Hsu Fu Chu, home is not only a carrier of life but also a core to initiate a chain reaction of city and people, such that a city has different scenes. The design of the Love Story of City focuses on the outdoor and surrounding environments, converting the discrete outdoor spaces into an exquisite area for activities. This approach not only resumes the indoor space but also amplifies the visual delicacy and copiousness.

The realization of the design involved creating landscapes with specific themes between buildings. The arrangement of space, in addition to showing the changes of styles and the appealing exteriors, brings about the details at connections all at once directing the indoor traffic flows and closing to nature. The property, which is 1000 square meters, is located in Taichung City, Taiwan, and the project was completed in October 2017.

The selection of construction materials for the Love Story of City favors clear textures. The structural objects in the format of folding panels replace the decorative details. The enduring materials such as stones and tiles develop the main style of the building, manifesting the consistency of indoor space and reducing the overheads of the community. The electric windows, meanwhile, save the energy of air conditioning.

The Love Story of City is a testament to Hsu Fu Chu's innovative approach to residential design.
